Our wines at Divers Luck are influenced by the tempid ocean climate of the Tomaree Peninsula at Port Stephens, this maritime theme is predominant with the development of our signature wines such as Birubi and Mad Diver. With our 2003 Chardonnay we have created something rather special that demonstrates the passion and skill of our wine makers at Divers Luck, Damien and the late Anthony Adams.

First releasing the Chardonnay for sale in late 2004, we have delighted in the development of character and style of this Gold Medal Chardonnay. As summer passes, again it is a great time to bring the Chardonnay out of the cellar to enjoy and reflect on the wine itself as it changes in complexity over time.
Colour:     Brilliant golden honey

Tasting notes:
Using fruit picked from Divers Luck Vineyard, and made at our Winery. The grapes were fermented and barreled in a split between new American oak and new French barriques for a period of up to five months, before being blended, filtered and bottled.
Bouquet:
Fragrant nose of intense fruity complexity with peaches and pinapples at first followed by a full palate that delivers a soft and creamy oak finish, with syrupy flavours of fig and honey.

The oak complexity has developed with the vanilla oaky flavour highlights the American oak used in barreling, which develops a full bodied wine with a smooth creamy texture and ending with a firm but not harsh acidity that makes for a nice accompaniment to seafood, salads, pasta and chicken.
Cellaring:    Drink now and good for cellaring for further 3- 5 years
Food:    Salads, seafood, pasta, chicken and veal
Price:  $AUD25 per bottle, Per doz: $AUD300.
Discounts: For Divers Luck Wine Club Members.
